thanks general but s&w only wanted a 100.00 and they would have installed them even thow trijicon is a better optic for that kind of money i think i will just put a laser/lite on instead of

i was cleaning my M&P 40 cal and the main spring has a blue paint i think its paint well when i was cleanig it some of the blue came off that shouldn't affect to gun will it ??

Absolutely not Soldier. Your sidearm will function just fine. The paint identifies the weight or rating of your firearm's recoil spring. You have the option of inserting lighter-weight spring to be used with light loads or to soften felt recoil for faster recovery in competition. Use a heavier-weight spring with “hot” loads or to enhance cycling reliability. Different weights work better for different loads. Weights range from 17, 19, 20, 22, to 24 lb. recoil springs.
