Hey Vachss, I love what you've done with your SKS, which model did it start off it's life as? Romanian, Chinese etc. I scored a Chinese model "parade issue" at a gun show 15 years ago. Despite a lot of trash-talking from "experts", with the help of some Tapco parts and optics that set me back twice what I paid for the rifle I find it to be a very adequate hunting/sniper rifle. It's not as pretty as yours but I was able to drop a good sized boar at over 250 yards. 76.2 is 76.2

From my FFL Dealer days and experience working Gun Shows, the rifle appears to be a Yugoslavia Simonov rifle with a milled receiver, screwed in barrel, milled trigger group. The under folding blade bayonet has been removed. The Yugos have distinctive integral NATO standard 22mm grenade launcher attachment with flip up sight.
