I certainly do! Just started my 1911 collection with a Kimber Ultra Covert II. I'm hooked.

Nice pistols Fred. Looks like a couple of Government Models, one with a curved mainspring housing. The other appears to be a Series 80 Commander Model with an extended grip safety tang. I have always relied on my 1911s. I currently have two Colts and a Kimber, not counting my Son's. I just sold a Colt Gov. Model .380 ACP to a Widow in town. Now, if I can get her to the range to practice, I would feel much better. I told her if she doesn't learn to shoot it, I was going to give her money back and collect the pistol.

What can be said about the age old Colt but, great to look at great to shoot, and great to own.
I have three Colt 1911's. A Colt lightweight 45 ACP, Colt Gunsight 45 ACP, Colt M1991A1 compact 45ACP. I carry the lightweight everyda;y and have a 185 grain ammo that is in it. I have found that with the light weight that the 230 grain is a little stiff for this gun, but, the 185 grain makes this gun smoth as silk.
I have two other 1911's in my stable but, they are not Colts. I have one Smith & Wesson 1911PD 45 ACP, and a CZ Bobtail 45 ACP. All are awesome guns to shoot and to carry. The new Smith and Wesson Personal Defense is a bull size 1911, and is so beautiful I only wish I could carry it open so, everyone could see it. But, with the CCW laws no such thing will happen. When I go to the range I let many shoot this smoth operator and they love it and the looks of it. The CZ is brand new and I have only 500 rounds through it and have only found one thing that is difficult with this tight fitting Dan Wesson custom and that is it is particular about what magazines you use in it. Wilson Combat and my new Smith and Wesson are fine, but, it doesn't like Kimber mags at all.

LTC Bullseye, I am not surprised regarding the Kimber magazines at all. I would never bet my life on the two that I have. They rest in peace in my spare magazine box. Come to think of it I should just toss them. I use Wilson Combat Mags almost exclusively.

Chaindriven, the feeling is mutual. You can take the boy out of the midwest, but, not the midwest out of the boy. I enjoyed our converstion very, very much.
I had to add a comment on the trio of Colts that I posted earlier. I failed to put down what they were.
So in order starting at the top row. The Colt on the top left is a Colt Commander Lightweight. The one the top right is a Colt Gunsight Pistol. The bottom is a Colt M1991A1 Commander Compact, with a 3.5 barrel.
By the way thanks to Chaindriven this trio got posted. I thank you for your assitance, as they would not be there if not for your kind assistance.

No sweat partner. I appreciate your kind words. You're doing everything correctly. The problem was the cumbersome process of image posting and particular Internet browser variables.
