Picking up a new S & W 686 ,6 inch SS 357 today, was wondering if any one has any thoughts and experience w/ this gun. It is hefty, should be more fun to shoot than my snubby. I figured it would be a good gun for the back country here in the lower 48. Is any one aware of any limitations or deficiencies with this gun ?

Brigadier General, This is mine that I picked up in the late 80's. I removed the original grips and put them in a safe place and installed rubber ones. I take this revolver hunting and camping. It has served me well. Very easy to clean, rugged and accurate. I have a couple of holsters for it and find it a good handgun to have in anyone's collection.
