It is the off spring of the m-14 I have seen them in 223cal and 7.62X39 they are a handy weapon because they will shoot a good group out to 200 yds+ and they are short and easy to use from a vech. Ruger makes one called the ranch rifle. Lots of police depts use them.

The Mini-14 semiautomatic rifle by Ruger has an 18" barrel weights 6.5 lbs 20 round magazine blued or stainless finish. Manufactured from 1976 to date. A stainless steel unit in excellent condition will fetch $600. I have own this one for many years. Embarrass at the amount of South Dakota Prairie Dogs dispatched with it.

I'm going to change mine to either a Fusion or folding stock. The Fusion is the more expensive at $106 + tax. The folding stock as little as $58 + tax. This Chaote was only $70.
