Anyone have experience with this? I've heard good things about them and I've been playing around on their site ( www.horusvision.com/) for a little while now. I'm not saying it is something I would get right now, especially since I don't have a rifle that needs that kind of equipment, but it seems like a cool product nonetheless. Especially for those of you that do snipping or long range shooting.

Wow, that is amazing gear... Too expensive for me though.. If I ever win the lottery I will definately get something like that. Unreal....

I have one,a 4 to16 variable (non- illuminated) w/ the h-25 reticle. I have used it out to 500 yds on a m1a and a FN-SPR 308 rifle. using m118lr ammo. At first the reticle seems too cluttered but after you get used to it , it is very handy. I plan on getting the palm pilot (Ranger)and plugging in all the data and then get busy. I bought it bc a friend of mine said he was using it as an OP, and that it was kicking butt. I think they are made very well with good glass and springs.

Thanks for the input lobster. Since you own one and seem to like it, do you think that it would be a good purchase to save up for? I am currently saving up personally for the rifle in my sig, and right now I am just looking at all the options out there for scopes, etc. Horus seems like a good idea to me, but it also seems fairly expensive. So is it worth the money I guess is what I am getting at.

Raymondpeter, I feel it is realy true what they say about "you get what you pay for" especialy when it comes to glass. Clarity and long term dependability are synonomous with "mucho dinero" I think there are several manufacturers out there that make good optics. From what I've read , here are some of them. Nightforce, luepold, IOR, smitt & bender, us optics , nikon , heinzolt (forgive the spelling)and horus vison. These are some that I have heard are good optics. I misnamed the palm pilot in my last post. The recon not the ranger is the palm pilot I hope to eventually get. If the US milatary is using it , I think it is probably worth the added cost Besides, aside from Barrett and the BORES system who else offers compatible balistic software palm pilots ?
